Congratulations to Anna Kozhina with the Heidelberg University Prize

In July 2018, Anna Kozhina, Research Assistant of the International Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its applications (LSA), successfully defended her thesis at the University of Heidelberg, and in October of the same year she defended her dissertation at HSE. The topic is: “The parametrix method and its applications in probability theory”. In Germany Anna's dissertation received the highest distinction, in Latin it sounds like summa cum laude. Eight months have passed since the day of defense, and recently the happy news came: for her dissertation, Anna received the so-called Wilma-Moser Prize, which has been delivered since 2005 at the University of Heidelberg to the 2-3 best PhD thesis of female students in the field of medicine and natural sciences. The award was founded by a female doctor who received a PhD from the University of Heidelberg in the 30s of the twentieth century. In monetary terms, the premium is 5,000 euros.

We cordially congratulate Anna and her supervisors, professor Enno Mammen from the University of Heidelberg, and the Head of the LSA professor V. D. Konakov!
