Mini-course by Professor A. Veretennikov
Programme of the mini-course of Prof A. Veretennikov, June – July 2019 (June 20th, 25th, 27th & July 1st)
1. Ergodic properties and bounds for the rates of convergence of homogeneous Markov processes: some classical and some new results & some open problems. [lectures 1-2]
2. Ergodic properties of queueing model with two service devices. [lectures 3-4]
The first two lectures will be devoted to the classical problem of a priori bounds for rates of convergence towards stationary regimes for homogeneous Markov chains (MC). Similar results for non-homogeneous MC will also be addressed.
The remaining two lectures will concern a similar problem of evaluationg the rate of convergence for the applied model arising in the theory of queueing with two servers one of which is a «hot reserve».
For all dates the lecture room is Shabolovka 26/4336, 18:00-21:00.
NB: For the 1st July lecture is canceled!!
